In a prestigious project led by the Ideas Foundation and The Engine Room, teenagers from Little Ilford School and Newham Sixth Form College are to work on a live promotional campaign set by senior Warner Bros staff, targeted at igniting the imaginations of children aged 4-7 in the possibilities of space exploration. The project will test partnership models and delivery methods for The New Creative and Media Diploma.

The programme is industry led and seeks to give young people unrivalled access to 'real experts' in their fields. Inspired by Richard Garriot's mission to the International Space Station in October 2008, students will work alongside staff from the Media Trust, British National Space Centre, Central St. Martins and Warner Bros and get the chance to meet Richard in his post-flight appearance in the autumn.

Matt West, award winning animator for Cartoon Network and other industry mentors will take the young people through the creative stages necessary to generate a top quality campaign or product.

The impact of the project will be evaluated by The Engine Room and disseminated throughout the university to establish greater awarness of The Creative and Media Diploma and the Creative potential of young people in inner city areas.
