Following on from the Winter Celebration Event held at The Base in December 2007, The Engine Room is excited to announce that the short film ‘A Trip to the Moon’ is now being shown at the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green.  Along with several other films, ‘A Trip to the Moon’ is being shown to incoming groups of schoolchildren, in the Summerly Room in the Learning Centre until April 2008, from 10.30 – 3.00pm daily.

The Museum of Childhood is currently focusing on the theme of space, with their exhibition Space Age: Exploration, Design and Popular Culture.  The Space Age exhibition examines how space has impacted daily life, especially futuristic design and fantasy worlds.  With its space adventure narrative, ‘A Trip to the Moon’ tells the story of Copley Close and EASE children as they make tracks for the moon, and what happens when they touch down and begin exploring the surface.
